Digging for Dinner

Steamed clams.  They’re free, and easily hunted.  They take 5 minutes to cook, and  about that long to eat.  My daughter loves them.  My other daughter loves mussels, but wasn’t a clam fan.  Or as I like to say it ‘flam’.  Which is also a word that can be used to describe the consistency of clams: ‘They’re a bit on the flammy side, don’t you think?’

This picture depicts the delightful process of the clams getting rid of their sand.  Essentially they’re pooping sand through their flammies.  My whole flammy loves clams.  If I eat too many, my gut feels a little flammy.
